Currently, Wynnum Engineering have the following welding capabilities and experience

• MIG - Flux core and solid wire

• GTAW (TIG) - All materials excluding Titanium and Magnesium

• MMA - Hard facing, Cast Iron repairs and general repairs

• Oxy/Acetylene - Brazing, soldering and cutting/gouging

• Plasma Cutting - Up to 30mm thickness

The above processes are carried out in our fabrication workshop that is equipped with welding positioners and rotators and adjacent to our machine shop .

In addition to the welding capabilities above, Wynnum Engineering also carry out mechanical cutting by Band Saw, Abrasive Saw, Punch and Shears.

Common welding projects undertaken by Wynnum Engineering include;

• General fabrication - all types (ferrous and non-ferrous)

• Marine repairs - onsite* and in workshop

• Special material application such as Stellite brand and equivalent

• Hardfacing - drill rig components, earthmoving equipment, in ground tooling
